Guest Rooms
Claymont offers our guests a variety of room options in informal, family style accommodations.
We offer different packages for the Claymont Mansion, Great Barn, or whole Claymont rentals.
Claymont Mansion
The Claymont Mansion is the only Washington property where guests can stay overnight and the more formal atmosphere lends itself to mid-size seminars, conferences, workshops, business events, charity events, weddings, or spiritual retreats. Guests sleep on the upper floors of the Mansion in individual, double, or triple rooms.
A Georgian style brick mansion, the mansion is the grandest of several built near Charles Town, West Virginia for members of the Washington family. The current house was built in 1840 by Bushrod Corbin Washington, grand-nephew of George Washington, to replace a house that was originally built in 1820, but burned in 1838.
The Claymont Mansion can accommodate up to 40 overnight guests.

The Great Barn
The Great Barn provides a less formal setting for larger groups. The Great Barn also has many more options for dorm style sleeping arrangements but does have arrangements for singles, doubles, and handicapped participants.
The Great Barn at Claymont has a large selection of dormitory style rooms, a large industrial kitchen and dining room, mediation rooms, meeting rooms, a library, gardens, a near by sauna and creek, and many more features.
